Ningana Celebrates New Image Stronger Focus

Over 80 representatives from Griffith’s industry and community gathered on Friday, 25th November to celebrate the ‘unwrapping’ of Ningana Enterprises new corporate image and the commissioning of NEI’s automated labeller.

The highlight was the dramatic ‘unveiling’ of the logo as the curtains of a Patrick Portlink taut liner were drawn to reveal the new image as Mayor John Dal Broi addressed assembled guests.

Patrick Portlink announced at the launch that they were delighted to become proud supporters of NEI Packaging and carry the NEI logo on one of their transport fleet.

Riverina Winemakers President, Bill Calabria ceremonially cut the ribbon to mark the start of official production using NEI Packaging’s new double header labeller.

Both Mayor John Dal Broi and Bill Calabria expressed their strong support for the value of Ningana Enterprises to the community and to industry and endorsed the organisation’s focus on exploiting new entrepreneurial activities and building existing business through pursuing automation to fund existing and proposed facilities and services for clients and employees with a disability.

Ningana Enterprises President, Nigel Kennedy alluded to the growing shortfalls in government funding for disability services and the increasing need to meet this shortfall through increased revenue from commercial activities.

He also highlighted the huge shift in thinking related to people with a disability, “The concept of sheltered workshops have been dismantled, individuals have right to expect and receive training and support to whatever capacity they are able to achieve,” Dr Kennedy said.

Ningana CEO, Fiona Durham continued, encouraging people to dismantle the perceptions and labels they applied to ‘disabled’ people.

“ The purpose of today’s launch is to assist us to build business, however it has another deeper purpose also and that is to ask the Griffith community and business sectors to continue to develop deeper understanding and a more inclusive perception of all people, regardless of their capacity,” she said.

Mayor John Dal Broi spoke of the diverse opportunities available to NEI as a production oriented service due to the dynamic growth occurring within the wine and allied industries in Griffith.

Bill Calabria echoed Mayor Dal Broi’s sentiments and indicated that Riverina Winemakers would be supporting and providing advice to NEI on aspects of its business development including possible joint direct marketing opportunities.

He also spoke at length about the value of Ningana’s services to the wine industry.

Many current clients and ‘champions’ of NEI including De Bortoli Wines, Westend Estate, Dal Broi Family Wines, Beelgara Estate, Water Dynamics and Casella Wines were on hand to endorse the speakers’ sentiments.

Recognition and gratitude was given to De Bortoli Wines for the recent comprehensive assistance provided to NEI to establish upgraded production systems and procedures and their status as a loyal and valued customer.

President, Nigel Kennedy praised the winery, one of the organisation’s major clients, for their professionalism and humanitarian approach.

He also gratefully acknowledged Patrick Portlink’s support to build public profile by carrying the NEI logo on one of their fleet.

Patrick Portlink Rail Manager Wayne Alpen said, “We are proud to be associated with Ningana”.

“Patrick Portlink believes that our business has a vital role to play in supporting organizations such as Ningana,” he continued.

The unveiling of the corporate image and the commissioning of NEI’s new equipment publicly marks a new approach to business by Ningana.

A coordinated business development and marketing program has been designed to achieve their business and humanitarian objectives.
